Local officials in several counties of Texas have confirmed that the total number of fatalities due to the flooding has reached 80.

According to Sheriff Larry Laita of Kerr County, among the deceased in Kerr County are 40 adults and 28 children.

CNN has released statistics on the death toll across the counties:

• 68 fatalities in Kerr County
• 5 fatalities in Travis County
• 3 fatalities in Burnet County
• 2 fatalities in Kendall County
• 1 fatality in Tom Green County
• 1 fatality in Williamson County
