On Sunday, July 6, a helicopter experienced an incident in the Baltic Sea, but it did not sink, and all on board were able to escape.

The helicopter, registered in Estonia, crashed between the islands of Vilsandi and Saaremaa.
According to preliminary data from the Police and Border Guard Department, the aircraft lost altitude while entering the clouds and made an emergency landing on the water.
The helicopter capsized but remained afloat thanks to automatic floats.
There were seven people on board – five adults and two minors. They managed to escape the cabin and waited for assistance on the helicopter's fuselage.
Sea rescuers arrived at the scene within 20 minutes and transported the victims to the port of Vikati. A preliminary examination revealed that none required medical attention.
According to the police, the helicopter was headed from Vilsandi to Tallinn. The exact circumstances of the incident in the air are still under investigation.
The Police and Border Guard Department coordinated the successful rescue operations.
