As of June 29, over 90% of patients in contracted primary healthcare facilities have verified their data in the electronic health system.
This was announced by Viktor Lyashko, the Minister of Health, in a Facebook post.
He stated, "Changes in the healthcare system are impossible without honest conversations with those who work with patients daily. I met with family doctors to discuss the challenges they face and to find optimal solutions together. Open dialogue is the key to the system's resilience, especially in wartime. One of the key issues currently concerning the professional community is patient data verification in the electronic health system".
"I understand that this creates additional burdens for doctors. But this is about transparency. It’s about ensuring that the system funds real patients, not statistics. This is a fundamental principle of the reform: money follows the patient. In the real conditions of limited resources, this principle gains even more significance," emphasized Lyashko.
According to the National Health Service of Ukraine, as of June 29, over 90% of patients in contracted primary healthcare facilities have been verified.
"And this is a significant joint effort. To strengthen it, the National Health Service of Ukraine has launched an updated analytical dashboard: each facility can see its own indicators, compare dynamics, and orient itself toward best practices," he noted.
He also mentioned that they discussed how to act if patients do not pass verification, and added that clear solutions will be developed in the near future.
The Minister appealed to all Ukrainians to assist in this process: "If you are receiving services, please confirm your data. This is about our collective responsibility for stability and fairness in the healthcare system".
