Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has initiated the preparation of measures for a long-term moratorium on business inspections to protect entrepreneurs from pressure.
He announced this during the "Forum of Government and Business: From Dialogue to Partnership" held in Kyiv, as reported by "Interfax-Ukraine".
"I have already instructed the preparation of a decision regarding a long-term moratorium on business inspections to safeguard entrepreneurs from negative influences of unscrupulous individuals in various positions," Zelensky stated.
"We are continuing the work of the "State - Business" council, and it is proposed to expand its scope. I urge everyone involved to be as active as possible in its activities," he added.
As reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky is convinced that Ukraine could be significantly stronger economically, but this requires clear regulatory frameworks.
"Ukraine has the potential for considerable economic enhancement, and thus we need to realize many more ideas and talents of Ukrainian entrepreneurship. To achieve this, we need proper conditions, clear frameworks for state intervention, minimal and rational regulation, and robust government lobbying for Ukrainian businesses globally," Zelensky concluded.
