This occurred shortly before a ceasefire was to take effect between the two nations, according to the Times of Israel.

Residents in areas where the sirens were activated were instructed to remain in bomb shelters until further notice.

Preliminary reports indicate that Iran launched at least one missile toward Israel during this assault. The attack took place after the announced start of the ceasefire.

It is likely that the ballistic missile was intercepted. Currently, there are no reports of destruction or casualties from the attack.

Later, information emerged that Iran fired two ballistic missiles at Israel, both of which were successfully intercepted.

In response to Iran's violation of the ceasefire, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to "respond decisively with intense strikes on regime targets in the heart of Tehran."
