This new postage issuance is dedicated to a temporarily occupied Ukrainian city and symbolizes the hope for its return to Ukraine.

On June 26, 2025, JSC "Ukrposhta" will launch a new stamp entitled "Melitopol is Ukraine!".

This was reported by the company's press service.

Ukrposhta presents the new stamp "Melitopol – is Ukraine!".

"As of 26.06.2025, this stamp will be in circulation and valid for payment of postal services in all post offices," the official statement from "Ukrposhta" says.

The company noted that Melitopol is a glorious Ukrainian city in the Zaporizhzhia region, known throughout the country as its cherry capital. In the early days of the full-scale war, the city was seized by Russia. "But even under the pressure of temporary occupation, the hope remains in the hearts of its residents and all Ukrainians: Melitopol will surely return home – to free Ukraine," emphasizes "Ukrposhta".

The postage stamp features the legendary Melitopol cherry and the famous raccoon, stolen by Russians from the Kherson zoo. These images, as explained by the company, symbolize that Ukrainians always reclaim what is theirs: both stolen territories and stolen animals.

Details of the issuance:

  • Stamp print run: 900,000 copies.
  • Number of stamps per sheet: 6 (arrangement 3*2).
  • Designer of the postage release: artist Natalia Kokal.

The new stamp will serve as another reminder of the unbreakable spirit of Ukrainians and the struggle for the return of all occupied territories.
