Ukraine is poised to kickstart the export of its military technologies to partner nations in Europe and beyond. This initiative includes the production of drones, missiles, and potentially artillery systems overseas.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a media briefing, as reported by Liga.net.
According to him, the export will focus on technologies related to drones, artillery, and missiles. The President emphasized that agreements are already in place for access to Ukrainian technologies and the production of arms in other countries.
"We have launched the Build with Ukraine initiative, and this summer we will sign agreements to commence the export of our technologies abroad, opening production lines in European countries and possibly others that support us and fund the production of drones and missiles in Ukraine," the president stated.
Zelensky stressed that a priority is to prevent technology leakage to the aggressor state, thus making exports to countries sympathetic to Russia impossible.
The president noted that positive signals regarding technology exports and arms production have been received from Denmark, Norway, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania.
By 2025, Ukraine achieved record levels of funding for its defense industry. "This year, we found 43 billion dollars in the defense sector," Zelensky added.
