In Lviv, veteran Mykola Shot's dream was realized with the gift of new prosthetics.
The 40-year-old soldier received uniquely designed prosthetic legs, crafted specifically for him.
The National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN reported that the special design of the prosthetics held great significance for Mykola. He wished for his prosthetics to be painted in military camouflage.
"This will be my symbol of strength and resilience. I wanted it this way," Mykola shared.
Oles Solodukha, a prosthetist from the center, brought his wishes to life. The veteran eagerly awaited this moment.
In a video published by UNBROKEN, Mykola can be seen taking his first steps on the new prosthetics – focused, confident, and with joy on his face.
Mykola Shot served in the "Kholodny Yar" brigade. He lost all his limbs due to a mortar attack. Despite his severe injuries, the veteran is making incredible efforts to adapt to life under new circumstances and dreams of participating in the Paralympic Games.
At the center, Mykola is referred to as a "symbol of indomitability." They say his journey to recovery is a prime example of the unyielding spirit of Ukrainian defenders.
Previously, we reported that a veteran who lost both legs danced for the first time after his injury with his beloved.
