On June 11, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision that introduces new regulations for the involvement of private aircraft in the air defense system.

The document highlights that, for the first time, legal mechanisms for the engagement of private aircraft in air defense have been established.

Specifically, the procedure for temporary registration has been simplified, and the timeframe has been reduced to 10 days. Previously, such registration took between 2 to 6 months for state aviation aircraft.

Direct quote from Rustem Umerov: "Until now, there were no legal grounds for involving private aircraft in air defense tasks, despite the fact that aware citizens have long offered their equipment and participation in repelling enemy aerial attacks. This step will enhance the capabilities of air defense amid increasing enemy drone strikes".
