Nine more children have been brought back to the controlled territory of Ukraine as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
This was reported by Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office.
Details on the return of 9 children from occupied areas
«Among them is a girl who was barely rescued due to a lack of quality medical care in the occupation. We also saved a boy who was locked in a basement with his mother by Russian soldiers while they tortured his father in the next room and forced them to praise the occupiers at school», Yermak recounted.
Returning home were also sisters who had not left their house for nearly three years due to constant shelling and nearby Russian tanks, as well as a girl who had no access to Ukrainian online education due to communication blockades by the occupiers.
He also expressed gratitude to the Save Ukraine team and partners for their assistance in organizing this rescue mission.
