New Literary Festival in Lviv: A Celebration of Books

From August 15 to 17, Lviv will host a new literary event — BestsellerFest, taking place at the !FESTrepublic venue.

This news was shared on social media by the event organizers.

The event is founded by poet and publisher Maryana Savka:

"BestsellerFest — a space for live dialogue among bestselling authors, readers, publishers, and bloggers. In Lviv — a UNESCO City of Literature — we will create a new platform for fostering reading culture, supporting writers, and promoting Ukrainian literature. BestsellerFest is not just about books and authors. It is an event that will ignite a new wave in contemporary Ukrainian culture — a wave of love for reading and curiosity about Ukrainian writers".

Organizers promise to bring together over twenty popular authors. Among the first announced names are:

  • Yevhenia Kuznetsova and Illarion Pavliuk,
  • Maria Matios and Vasyl Shkliar,
  • Irena Karpa and Andriy Kokotyukha,
  • Maxym Kidruk and Andriy Liubka,
  • Anastasia Levkova and Myroslav Dochynets,
  • Volodymyr Viatrovych and Volodymyr Stanchyshyn.

The festival will feature book presentations, literary discussions, autograph sessions, and public interviews. The program will also include a fair and musical performances by the bands "Faktychno Sami" and "Fiolet".

Organizers note that entry on the first day of the festival, August 15, will be free. The following two days will offer free tickets for military personnel, pensioners, and children under 12 years old (inclusive).

A ticket for one day of the festival costs 250 UAH, for two days – 400 UAH. Part of the funds will be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
