During the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting on Thursday, representatives from Ukraine and NATO discussed the current security situation in Ukraine and the continued support from the Alliance.

This was reported by the Ukrainian mission to NATO.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, participated in the meeting online, providing an assessment of Russia's strategic goals in the ongoing war and outlining the current operational situation.

Syrskyi emphasized that enhancing air defense capabilities is a top priority for Ukraine, necessitating the acquisition of more aircraft, missile systems, radar stations, and intelligence resources.

He also pointed out the critical need for supplying Ukrainian forces with missiles and ammunition.

Syrskyi outlined key priorities for military cooperation with NATO and the peaceful efforts of the international community led by the United States.

He stressed the importance of a complete and unconditional ceasefire across air, sea, and land for at least 30 days to create space for diplomacy.

It is worth noting that from May 14-16 in Antalya, an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers will take place.

The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, has already arrived in Turkey, where NATO ministers are gathering.
