The capital of Ukraine has received 130 generators of varying capacities from Poland, as announced by Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram. In the challenging context of the energy crisis, this will bolster the city's critical infrastructure and social institutions, Klitschko emphasized.
The funding for the generators was raised by Polish volunteers, who collected 80 million zlotys (almost 2 million euros) from 60,000 citizens within 10 days.
The received generators include one diesel generator FD 600 D with a capacity of 600 kW, one diesel generator FD 80 B with a capacity of 80 kW, 20 FOGO FV20000TE/TRE generators each with a capacity of 20 kW, and 108 FOGO F12000iSG generators each with a capacity of 12 kW.
The total power of the delivered equipment amounts to 2,376 kW.
On Monday, January 26, the first batch of generators purchased through donations arrived.
Klitschko also informed that the next shipment is expected soon, with another 90 generators already on their way from Warsaw.
The mayor stated that thanks to the Polish people, Ukrainians have received significant humanitarian aid, including energy supplies, medical equipment, food, and other essential resources.
The European Union will transfer 447 generators to Ukraine within a week for the critical infrastructure needs of Kyiv and frontline regions.
