In Kyiv, the holiday fair «Christmas in Podil» has launched a charity drive to collect New Year gifts for children from Eastern Ukraine. This year, the initiative emphasizes warmth and care, with organizers aiming to deliver soft toys, especially teddy bears, to the children.

The gifts will be sent to the Slavyansk community, home to nearly five thousand children. The collection is happening in a cozy tent at Kontraktova Square, under the observation wheel. Toys can be left under the Christmas trees inside the tent.

In addition to teddy bears, children's books in Ukrainian, creative kits (paints, albums, pencils), and lanterns are also accepted. For those unable to join in person, there is an option to send gifts by mail or support the initiative financially.

The organizers emphasize: every teddy bear or hryvnia donated brings joy and a sense of celebration to children even in challenging conditions near the front line.
