Members of the mobile air defense group from Bucha participated in an event focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Ukraine and Slovakia.
In Bratislava, an international conference titled “Cooperation for the Future” was held, attended by representatives of the "Buchan Witches" from the Bucha volunteer formation.
This event marked a significant step in strengthening Ukraine-Slovakia ties and reaffirmed Slovakia's support for Ukraine's European aspirations. The conference aimed to deepen collaboration in the areas of reconstruction, education, and economic development, continuing previous agreements reached in Košice.
During their presentation, Ukrainian defenders shared stories about women fighting for Ukraine, highlighting their strength, resilience, and belief in victory.
As participants noted, Slovakia for Ukraine is not just a neighboring country but a partner in the struggle for freedom and a shared European future.
The “Buchan Witches” represent more than just a military unit. They are a community of women who chose not to wait for someone else to protect them. Each has her own story of pain and loss, but they share a common desire to defend their home, which is why they took up arms.
