On October 28, a magnificent concert performance of Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Macbeth" will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania. This event is a collaborative project between the Vilnius City Opera and the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra. Thanks to the initiative of the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine, Ukrainian audiences will have the opportunity to watch the livestream at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The production is a continuation of the No Encore project, which began with Richard Strauss's "Salome." In "Macbeth," the stage will feature performances by Asmik Grigorian (Lady Macbeth), Edgaras Montvidas (Macduff), Tadas Girininkas, Karolis Kashyba, and Zilvinas Steponas Mishkinis, among others. The conductor will be Gintaras Rinkevicius, with Dalya Ibelgaiptaite directing and costume design by John Morell.
The concert's livestream will be provided by the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT, while technical coordination will be managed by engineers from the Kharkiv branch.
