For over a year now, an innovative project has been underway to assist combat veterans and individuals with disabilities resulting from the war. This initiative provides a chance to acquire new professional skills and successfully reintegrate into civilian life. The Kyiv City Employment Center encourages interested individuals to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

Training is conducted by vocational education centers under the State Employment Service, offering a wide range of courses – from basic professional training to advanced skill enhancement. Participants can choose from 97 trades or upgrade their qualifications through around 400 different educational programs. The learning process is tailored to various needs: options for daytime and evening classes, distance learning, and dual education formats are available. If necessary, these formats can be combined for maximum convenience.

Some of the most in-demand training specialties include chef, cashier, salesperson, tailor, seamstress, electric welder, electrician, electrical installer, driver, and CNC machine operator.

To participate in the program, a basic document package is required: identity card, education documents (if available), tax identification number, and proof of combat veteran status or disability due to war. Individuals with disabilities must also provide a medical and social expert commission certificate and an individual rehabilitation program.

Applications can be submitted online through the website of the State Employment Service or directly at any local employment center.
