The Kyiv central railway station has launched a new exhibition called Ukraine WOW. Over a hundred exhibits and interactive zones are set up at track 14.
“We want every visitor to feel a connection to the great Ukrainians of the past and pride in how, despite the ongoing war, modern ‘wow’ moments are happening,” say the organizers.
Those who attended the exhibition in 2019 will recognize the popular location — the «Tunnel of Love» in Klevan, which is also featured in the new display.
Visitors will also find a wheat field under the sky, a pond with water lilies, the 20-meter Cossack boat Chaitka, and a modern drone for fighting enemies in the Black Sea — the Magura (though only on screen), along with Mazepa's saber, a sword from the Kyivan Rus era, a replica of the golden pectoral, and VR experiences to fly over the Carpathians and Sivashem, as well as major ‘wow’ moments from independence, including statuettes from the Eurovision Song Contest, the Oscars, and the Ballon d'Or. The restored mosaic «Boriviter» will also be on display, along with an exhibition about the residents of the «Slovo» house and the Sixtiers. Visitors can even «call» the apartments of prominent Ukrainian writers and listen to their responses.

The exhibition is interactive, allowing guests to «peek» into windows of homes where pies are being baked or coffee brewed, or imagine themselves as rulers by sitting on a princely throne. They can see original old prints or sit with the Konotop witches on a specially equipped site.

Due to wars that have periodically devastated the land, very few Ukrainians can boast of a heritage — items cherished by several generations. Thus, the exhibition organizers encourage everyone to consider the achievements of the nation as their own, which in turn imposes a responsibility for the future.

Project organizer and partner at Gres Todorchuk, Yaroslav Gres, mentioned that in 2019, over 300,000 visitors attended the exhibition, and she sincerely hopes this year's event will attract at least that many. Meanwhile, Ukrzaliznytsia, as the host, plans to facilitate the arrival of people from frontline areas and invite soldiers coming to Kyiv or passing through the city.
