The international organization has confirmed that the Ukrainian rescue team can engage in rescue operations anywhere in the world.
The State Emergency Service (SES) successfully underwent re-certification to the strictest UN standards, earning the heavy-class team status according to INSARAG methodology. This was announced by the SES.
The international commission was impressed by the professionalism and equipment of the Ukrainian specialists. INSARAG representative Terje Skavdal summarized: "Your team is among the best in the world. I look forward to collaborating with you."
Ukrainian rescuers have previously assisted other countries, notably participating in the aftermath of the earthquake in Turkey in 2023.
As a sign of support, the Polish State Fire Service donated modern equipment to our rescuers. This will further enhance their capabilities and demonstrates Ukraine's readiness for any challenges.
Earlier, capital city rescuers received a unique firefighting vehicle. Its primary task is to ensure a continuous water supply during large-scale fire extinguishing operations. Such equipment is crucial in areas lacking firefighting water sources or where access to water is problematic, or there is a need for rapid delivery of large volumes of water.
