Emergency power outages have been implemented in Ukraine due to a missile strike from Russia that occurred on the morning of February 11, as reported by Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
Where were emergency outages applied?
According to him, at night the enemy attacked Ukraine's gas infrastructure, and in the morning continued to target energy facilities.
“In order to minimize potential consequences for the energy system, the transmission system operator is urgently implementing emergency electricity restriction measures,” Halushchenko stated.
“Ukrenergo” confirmed the introduction of emergency power outages and reported that restrictions would be lifted after the air alert ended and the situation in the energy system stabilized.
The DTEK company also reported emergency power outages in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
Massive Combined Attack on Ukraine on February 11 – Key Facts
On the morning of February 11, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using missiles and drones. The aggressor targeted energy facilities, including gas infrastructure.
As a result of the missile strike in Poltava region, nine settlements in Myrhorod district were left without gas supply.
No hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded.
Also, due to attacks in Zaporizhzhia region, three people were injured.
The aggressor launched 83 strike drones at Ukraine over the past day. Air defense shot down 61 drones. Over the past week, the Russians dropped more than 1260 bombs on Ukrainian cities and villages, launched nearly 750 strike drones, and fired over 10 missiles of various types.
