In his address for Constitution Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted that the fundamental social contract today recognizes Ukraine as a priority. He also presented state honors during the celebrations at Sofia Square.

Zelensky also expressed gratitude to all civilized nations for their solidarity with Ukraine, particularly mentioning Polish President Andrzej Duda, who attended the ceremony.
During the event at Sofia Square, the president awarded the highest state honors.
Among those honored, the families of fallen Heroes of Ukraine received the "Golden Star" medals. Posthumously, the highest state title was awarded to: soldier Ostap Makarov, colonel Viktor Polyvianyi, senior lieutenant Mykola Skydan, and journalist, volunteer, and paramedic Iryna Tsybukh.
Additionally, two Heroes of Ukraine personally received their awards: junior lieutenant Petro Gerasymovych and junior sergeant Oleksandr Ivantsov.
