Every donor is a true hero who offers others a chance to live. In Kyiv, a ceremony was held to honor those who consistently support the donation initiative, saving hundreds of lives.

On the eve of World Blood Donor Day, June 13, Kyiv recognized the most active donors in the capital. They were awarded Certificates of Appreciation from the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, for their contributions to saving human lives.

As noted by Kyiv City Council member and chair of the permanent commission on local government and external relations, Yulia Yarmolenko, donation is an example of true civic duty and compassion for others.

«This is the day for those who give hope and a chance to live every day. Those who create miracles by saving lives. We sincerely thank each donor for their courage and open hearts. You are the real heroes of our time! In our city, a strong community of concerned citizens is forming, thanks to whom the medical system can swiftly save lives. Donorship is not just an act, it is a mission that deserves recognition,» added Yulia Yarmolenko.

During the event, organizations that actively promote the culture of donation in Kyiv were also recognized. A concert program was organized for attendees, uniting everyone around the idea of help and life.
