In the first quarter of 2025, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises increased their production.

According to their data, 1.70 million tons of pig iron were produced, which is 7.2% more than last year. Steel production rose by 2.7% to 1.73 million tons. Rolled product volumes also increased by 3.3%, reaching 1.44 million tons.
In March, the pig iron output was 563,200 tons, a 4.6% increase compared to March 2024, and 3.5% more than in February 2025.
Meanwhile, steel production in March fell to 550,500 tons, marking a 9.9% decrease year-on-year and a 3.7% decline compared to February. Rolled product output also decreased to 478,400 tons, which is 2.1% lower than in March of the previous year, although there was a slight increase of 0.3% compared to February.
