As part of the "New Horizons" program, 100 veteran businesses will receive grants ranging from 500,000 to 1.5 million UAH to start or expand their ventures.
This was announced by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The funds will facilitate various initiatives, from craft production to agricultural and industrial projects.
The selection process consisted of three stages: verification of document completeness and accuracy, evaluation of projects by independent experts, and public presentations.
This year, 398 applications were submitted for the competition, with the following ideas emerging as winners:
- the establishment of a restoration workshop;
- the launch of a veteran clothing brand;
- the opening of a sports center for individuals with disabilities.
Grants will also be awarded to entrepreneurs developing cafés, stores, auto repair shops, farms, medical facilities, and other projects.
Veterans from Kyiv and 18 regions of Ukraine participated in the competition, with the highest number of grants going to participants from Poltava, Lviv, Kyiv regions, and the capital.
