An expert group, in collaboration with the European Investment Bank, has recommended funding for nine projects amounting to 1.1 billion UAH as part of Ukraine's recovery program III. This was announced by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
"Following the first meeting of the expert working group on community proposals, certain projects were excluded, and nine projects with a funding volume of 1.1 billion UAH were recommended for implementation," the statement said.
Four applications have been recommended for implementation under the initiative "Barrier-Free Movement" in the Volyn and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, along with five applications for constructing kitchen factories for schools in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Lviv, and Sumy regions.
These kitchen factories will provide over 50,000 standardized meals for children daily. Pilot projects are already underway in Bucha and Lozova (Kharkiv region) and are part of the school nutrition reform initiated by the First Lady.
The ministry noted that from September 11 to 30, communities had the opportunity to submit proposals for project funding for recovery and development. They submitted 677 applications totaling 24.2 billion UAH.
About one-third of the applications, amounting to 8.6 billion UAH, pertain to heating, water supply, sewage systems, and distributed generation networks.
More than 120 applications are for building medical facilities (6.8 billion UAH), and nearly 140 relate to creating shelters in communities, kindergartens, and hospitals (4.4 billion UAH).
Almost 130 projects are aimed at completing the construction of schools and kindergartens (2.3 billion UAH), establishing kitchen factories for school nutrition (1 billion UAH), building housing for internally displaced persons (0.15 billion UAH), and 44 projects regarding accessibility (0.85 billion UAH).
