The II National Scientific-Practical Conference 'PROKYIV' with international participation was held in Kyiv. Over two days, young leaders, researchers, and university students presented their projects aimed at making the city more comfortable and accessible. The event was opened by Mykola Povoroznyk, the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).

"The city government is always open to constructive dialogue with the community and actively involves Kyiv residents in developing local policies. The youth has always been and will continue to be a driving force for change. Their energy, ideas, and innovations are progressive and modern. They keep their finger on the pulse of urban, technological, and social trends and are ready to implement them boldly. Our task is to make the city more sustainable, safer, and more comfortable – a true European metropolis. Kyiv must remain a center of opportunities, a space for new ideas, and the realization of youth ambitions," said Mykola Povoroznyk.

He noted that Kyiv, as the capital of Ukraine, is, particularly thanks to the youth, an ambassador for change in the era of global transformations.

With the support of KCSA, the National Conference 'PROKYIV' took place in the capital for the second time within the Kyiv Development Platform. Its organizers include the KNDU 'Research Institute for Socio-Economic Development of the City' and higher education institutions that are part of the Kyiv Scientific and Innovation Cluster.

This time, due to the significant number of participants and sections, the event was held over two days. On the first day, young leaders presented their projects at their educational institutions. The second day of the conference took place at the city hall.

Discussions included youth initiatives across various sectors to create an inclusive and barrier-free urban environment. Some reports focused on supporting mental health and promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth.

"This interaction tool unites those ready to be authors of quality changes in the capital and provides an open dialogue for achieving them. Thanks to the Platform and the 'PROKYIV' conference, young leaders have the opportunity to present their ideas and projects, receive feedback, hear expert opinions, and explore implementation pathways at the city and community levels," noted Sergey Pavlovsky, director of KNDU 'NDIRoM'.

Overall, the conference brought together over 300 participants, including representatives from 20 educational institutions in Kyiv and 15 educational and community organizations from other cities in Ukraine and abroad, as well as doctors and candidates of sciences, researchers, graduate students, lecturers, and undergraduates.
