On July 10, the Netherlands announced a new financial assistance package for Ukraine amounting to 300 million euros for the years 2025 and 2026.
Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp made the announcement during a conference in Rome focused on Ukraine's recovery.
Out of this amount, 30 million euros will be allocated to support Dutch companies implementing projects that aid in the rebuilding of Ukraine through the "Partnership Fund with Ukraine" grant program.
In 2025, 52 million euros will be spent on restoring energy infrastructure and water supply systems.
Additionally, 4 million euros will be directed towards the construction of a new wing for the Children's Hospital in Lviv in collaboration with the Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology in Utrecht.
This funding is part of a total allocation exceeding 500 million euros for non-military support to Ukraine. Earlier, 200 million euros had already been announced.
Veldkamp emphasized that Russia is attempting to dismantle Ukrainian society through attacks on infrastructure, thus highlighting the importance of global support for Ukraine not only with weapons but also financially.
"The economy of Ukraine must continue functioning to support the country's fight," he stated.
During the conference, an agreement was also signed to continue the grant program "Partnership Fund with Ukraine".
At the end of June, the Netherlands announced a new military assistance package for Ukraine totaling approximately 175 million euros.
This package complements a previously announced support of 400 million euros aimed at ensuring maritime security.
