This was stated by Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, as reported by INTERFAX-Ukraine.

She noted that budget support for agricultural producers in 2024 amounted to 7.075 billion UAH and was carried out through programs of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Economy.

According to her, 39% of the funding (2.78 billion UAH) was provided by international financial organizations. These funds were directed as subsidies per hectare (70%), subsidies for maintaining cattle (22%), and subsidies for keeping goats and sheep (8%).

Additionally, 1.36 billion UAH from the state budget was allocated for grants to create or develop processing enterprises (65%), horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture (23%), as well as greenhouse farming (12%).

Yuzhanina also mentioned that the budget support for farmers is planned to increase to 10.9 billion UAH in 2025, with 43% potentially funded by international organizations.

She reminded that the budget financing for humanitarian demining of agricultural lands in 2024 was only 0.4 billion UAH, while over 2.5 billion UAH was allocated for "Winter eSupport" payments.
