A taxi driver, furious over a mess in his vehicle, assaulted a passenger by hitting her multiple times. After the attack, he fled the scene. He could face up to three years behind bars for his actions.
During the ride, the 27-year-old woman began to feel unwell, and instead of assisting her, the driver aggressively ejected her from the car, punching her twice in the face. Medical professionals diagnosed her with bruises and a broken jaw.
Law enforcement quickly identified the driver as a 24-year-old man from Kyiv. Investigators from the Dnipro Police Department have charged him with a crime under part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for intentionally causing moderate bodily harm.
Currently, the police have completed the pre-trial investigation and forwarded the indictment to the court. The offender faces up to three years of imprisonment.
