Arrest of a Traitor in Dnipropetrovsk

The SBU has detained an agent recruited by the FSB who planned attacks in Dnipropetrovsk.

The Security Service of Ukraine has announced the arrest of an individual collaborating with the FSB in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The man was discovered and detained while looking for companionship on a dating site.
Investigations revealed that he was preparing attacks on a port city.
The recruited 42-year-old unemployed man, who was evading mobilization, had an unusual way of earning a living.
He caught the FSB's attention while seeking a partner on a dating platform.
“A so-called 'agent' of the Russian special services contacted him and suggested they get to know each other better,” the SBU reports.
Later, the woman claimed to live in the temporarily occupied Kakhovka. Gaining his trust through manipulation, she directed him to a FSB operative.
After recruitment, the agent received detailed instructions for spying on Ukrainian forces defending the city.
“To gather intelligence, the man navigated the city, avoiding checkpoints, and discreetly collected information about the Defense Forces. The gathered data was immediately sent to the Russian agent. According to available information, the occupiers planned to soon send him a homemade bomb for a terrorist attack,” the special service stated.
Counterintelligence identified the perpetrator in advance, documented his crimes, and detained him at his residence. Measures were also taken to secure the locations of the Defense Forces.
During searches, a smartphone containing evidence of his collaboration with the enemy was seized.
SBU investigators have informed the agent of suspicion under the article - state treason committed in a state of war.
The perpetrator is being held in custody without the right to bail. He faces life imprisonment with property confiscation.
