Law enforcement in Kyiv has arrested a young man found with 150 vials containing cannabis extract and approximately fifty drug packages at his residence. He faces a potential prison sentence of up to eight years for his actions.
The drug dealer was apprehended by district police officers from the Dnipro Police Department during a patrol in the area. Upon stopping the young man, they discovered he was in possession of illegal narcotics.
The suspect is a 26-year-old resident of Kyiv who worked as a 'courier' for an illegal online drug shop. His responsibilities included leaving 'drops' of products for potential clients.
In total, he had 150 vials seized, and about fifty marijuana wraps were found at his home.
Forensic analysis confirmed that the materials seized from him are indeed drugs. Law enforcement arrested the offender under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators charged him under Part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegal acquisition and storage of narcotics with the intent to sell, which carries a penalty of up to eight years in prison.
