Officials from the State Bureau of Investigations have charged two police officers in Kyiv for assaulting a man on October 17 near the Holosiivskyi District Recruitment Center.
The officers inflicted multiple blows to the victim's head and body, resulting in various injuries.
It was established that the suspects attacked the detained individual after he sprayed pepper spray inside the vehicle.
The two officers are charged with exceeding their authority (Part 2, Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The victim has been sent for a forensic medical examination to assess the level of physical harm caused by the beating.
The penalty for this offense can include imprisonment for up to 8 years.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office is overseeing the process.
