The Kyiv police, in collaboration with UCR operatives, have uncovered a scheme involving the misappropriation of city budget funds. 
During the preliminary investigation, it was established that in June 2023, a former director of a private company, along with the head of a department at the municipal enterprise «Kyiv Greenery», submitted false information in the execution reports for a contract.
This concerns the reconstruction and improvement of the «Orlyatko» park in the Solomianskyi district, particularly landscaping, tile replacement, and construction debris removal.
It turned out that some of these works were not actually performed, yet the contractor reported them, and the official signed the documents. As a result, the contractor received over 800,000 hryvnias from the city budget for non-existent work, as confirmed by expert assessments.
Currently, the former director has been charged with submitting false information in documents (Criminal Code of Ukraine) and misappropriating someone else's property through abuse of office (Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The 40-year-old former official of «Kyiv Greenery» is charged with complicity in these actions (part 5 of article 27, part 2 of article 366, and part 4 of article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Both individuals face up to eight years in prison.
