After the Rosh Hashanah celebrations, Hasidic pilgrims have begun to leave the city of Uman. This was reported by the Cherkasy police via Telegram.
“The Hasidic pilgrims have started to depart from Uman. A special police unit remains in the city to ensure safety,” the message states.
The police reported documenting around 10 instances of illegal drug possession, and the information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As a result, 12 decisions were made for the forced return of Israeli citizens, while five individuals were banned from entering Ukraine for three years due to violations of the law.
Authorities, including police officers, national guards, rescuers, and representatives of the State Migration Service, continuously held preventive talks with the pilgrims and provided assistance when necessary.
It is worth noting that nearly 40,000 pilgrims arrived in Uman for the Rosh Hashanah celebration, of which 38,000 were foreigners.
