Criminals acting together assaulted an elderly woman in the entrance of a residential building in Troieschyna. Currently, one of them has been sentenced while the investigation against his accomplice continues.
Recall that in April this year, the Kyiv police received a call from a resident of the Desnyansky district reporting that two unknown men had robbed her in the entrance of a building on Chervonoyi Kalyny Avenue. 
At that time, law enforcement detained a 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old native of Cherkasy region, who were charged under part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery. 
During the investigation, it was established that the criminals noticed an 88-year-old woman in a store while she was paying for her items. They followed her to her home, and one of the assailants pushed the elderly woman in the entrance, causing her to lose her balance and fall, while the convicted man took her bag containing 10,000 hryvnias.
After gathering the necessary evidence, the police sent the indictment to court. 
Recently, the Desnyansky court sentenced the 28-year-old robber to seven years and six months of imprisonment. 
The investigation against the other suspect is ongoing.
