The High Anti-Corruption Court has made a decision regarding Security Service General Illya Vityuk, suspected of illegal enrichment and submitting false information in his declaration, setting bail at 9 million hryvnias.

This was announced during the court session on September 4.

Judge Markiyan Halabala partially satisfied the prosecutor's request, who demanded bail of 42 million hryvnias. The final decision of the court is set at 9 million 84 thousand hryvnias.

Vityuk has 5 days to post the bail.

He is also subject to several procedural obligations, including surrendering his passports for overseas travel and refraining from contacting certain individuals.

It should be noted that NABU and SAP have charged Illya Vityuk with illegal enrichment and inaccurate declaration.

The Security Service of Ukraine views the charges against General Vityuk as retaliation from anti-corruption agencies following the detention of several NABU employees.

As a background, investigative journalists discovered a premium-class apartment purchased by Vityuk's wife in December 2023, valued at over 20 million hryvnias. After the investigation, Vityuk was suspended from his position and sent to the front lines. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree for his dismissal on May 1.
