Security Initiatives in Desnyansky District

The SBU and National Police are conducting security initiatives in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv to enhance public safety.

In the Desnyansky district of Kyiv, new security initiatives are being implemented by the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police.

This information has been confirmed by the Main Directorate of the SBU in Kyiv and the Kyiv region via Facebook.

Together with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, law enforcement is carrying out planned activities aimed at improving safety in the Desnyansky district.

The main goal of these activities is to assess the effectiveness of anti-terrorism protection in crowded places.

During these operations, law enforcement officers:

  • inspect areas and various buildings (apartments, offices, communal spaces in apartment buildings, service establishments, etc.) to identify prohibited items;
  • check the identity of individuals present in the area;
  • evaluate the state of anti-terrorism protection of local structures.
  • The operations will be conducted in accordance with the legal regime of martial law.

During the operations, there may be restrictions on movement and passage through the streets, as well as document checks and vehicle inspections.

The SBU urges citizens to be understanding of potential inconveniences and to comply with lawful actions and requests from law enforcement.

Additionally, it is crucial to carry identification documents and adhere to curfew regulations.

The Security Service upholds the principles of legality and respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens in its activities.
