The Security Service of Ukraine, along with the Office of the Prosecutor General, has detained one of the leaders of NABU, Ruslan Magamedrasulov, on suspicion of conducting business in Russia.
According to the investigation, this high-ranking official, stationed in Dnipro, established connections with representatives from Russia and assisted his father in illegal trade activities.
It has been established that he acted as an intermediary in selling technical hemp to Russia. The investigation is also checking whether he had contacts with Russian intelligence and if he passed on classified information.
Additionally, Magamedrasulov was in close contact with fugitive deputy Fyodor Khristenko, who has ties to Russian services and influences NABU's operations.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Ruslan's father, Sentyabr Magamedrasulov, holds Russian citizenship, which was not disclosed when obtaining access to state secrets.
The suspect's mother, Irina Magamedrasulova, receives a pension from the so-called DNR and actively supports Russia's war against Ukraine.
Despite being assigned to work in frontline regions, Ruslan frequently stayed in Kyiv and recently returned from a vacation in Tenerife.
The authorities are considering bringing charges against him for aiding a state aggressor under the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the crime.
