In the village of Kobaky, located in the Kosiv district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, an unfortunate incident took place when a man shot at a car containing a 12-year-old boy. The child sustained an injury to his shoulder.
This information was confirmed by the police of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
A local resident called the emergency line 102, reporting that an unknown person had fired at his Renault Kangoo vehicle. A pellet from a pneumatic gun shattered the rear window and injured his son. The boy was hospitalized, but his life is not in danger.
A detective team was dispatched to the scene.
Authorities established that the shot was fired from a pneumatic pistol. During operational measures, the police identified the suspect — a 57-year-old resident of the same village.
Upon searching the offender's residence, officers discovered and seized two pneumatic pistols. The man refused to undergo a sobriety test.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism with the use of weapons. Forensic examinations have been ordered, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
