The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended an FSB agent who was coordinating massive attacks on the capital.
According to investigation materials, a 17-year-old high school graduate from Kyiv was recruited through Telegram channels promising «easy money».
The agent's primary role was to conduct reconnaissance: he received coordinates of potential targets from his handler and was tasked with documenting their technical condition.
Among the key locations of interest to the enemy were energy facilities, defense headquarters, and air defense sites protecting Kyiv's airspace.
SBU officers detained the perpetrator near a military command center for which he was preparing an «agent report».
At the scene, a phone was seized from the suspect, which he used to photograph the objects identified by his Russian handler.
SBU investigators notified him of suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed in wartime).
The perpetrator is in custody and faces life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
The operation was carried out by SBU employees in Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv city prosecutor's office.
