The accused has been charged with hooliganism involving the use of a firearm.

An investigation is currently underway under the guidance of the Podil District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv. This information was provided by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

It has been established that a 46-year-old resident of Kyiv, while riding a bicycle in the Podil district, pulled out a gun and fired at a Ford vehicle ahead of him. Inside the car were a woman and a child. According to her, there was no conflict with the attacker.

A female volunteer posted about this incident on social media, urging witnesses to help identify the irrational assailant.

The police quickly identified the shooter. It turned out that prior to the incident, another car had splashed the cyclist with water from a puddle.

In response, the man attempted to chase the vehicle but mistakenly shot at another white car.

The offender was detained, and the firearm was confiscated. He will soon face charges under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism using firearms or cold weapons). The penalty for this article provides for imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.
