Details: The Leuven prosecutor's office stated that after a five-hour interrogation, the teenager confessed to the crime. He will appear before a juvenile court on Sunday due to his minor status.

It is important to note that the incident took place on June 6; a fire broke out in the house of a Ukrainian military family, resulting in the deaths of a 46-year-old woman and her 6-year-old daughter. The older son was at school at the time and was initially considered a victim.

The family arrived in Belgium at the beginning of the full-scale war. Another adult daughter resides in Ireland, and the father serves in the military, working in evacuation efforts.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has instructed the embassy in Belgium to keep the case under special control.
