A tragic incident occurred in Obolon where a teenager brutally assaulted a 40-year-old man, leading to his death. The minor now faces up to 10 years in prison.

In Kyiv, investigators have charged a 16-year-old local resident who inflicted fatal injuries on a man during alcohol consumption. The victim died in the hospital without regaining consciousness.

Medics alerted the police upon discovering an unconscious man with multiple injuries on Poliarna Street. A forensic team and criminal investigators quickly arrived at the scene.

Law enforcement agencies were able to establish the circumstances of the crime through collaborative efforts of analysts, juvenile inspectors, and detectives. It was determined that the incident involved a 16-year-old teenager. During a search of his residence, mobile phones and clothing with bloodstains were seized.

According to the investigation, the teenager had met the victim shortly before the incident. During their drinking session, an argument escalated into a brutal fight. The boy struck the man with his fists, feet, and a wooden stick to the head and body, then fled the scene.

Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the 40-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The Obolon District Prosecutor's Office has charged the minor under part 2 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for intentional severe bodily harm resulting in death. The court has chosen to remand him in custody without the option of bail.

For his actions, the teenager could face up to 10 years of imprisonment.
