The Security Service of Ukraine has revealed a spy network assisting Russian strikes on Kostiantynivka.

The counterintelligence of the SBU has dismantled a group operating in Donetsk, consisting of four individuals from Kostiantynivka who were involved in directing missile attacks from the Russian Federation on the city.

The agents acted independently but were overseen by a single curator from the Russian security services. Their primary task was to gather coordinates of Ukrainian military positions. Among those arrested is a 35-year-old IT specialist who, under the pretext of setting up internet services, extracted information about military locations. The other three suspects include a 23-year-old market worker and two unemployed individuals who scouted the city to identify critical local sites.

According to the investigation, all agents were recruited via a Telegram channel offering 'easy earnings.' The perpetrators marked targets on Google Maps to provide detailed information.

The SBU apprehended all members of the spy group and seized mobile phones containing evidence of their collaboration with the FSB.

Investigators have charged them under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed in a state of war). The suspects are held in custody without the right to bail and face life imprisonment.

The operational measures were conducted by SBU officers in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
