On Wednesday morning, a shooting took place at a hotel in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv. The assailant was quickly apprehended, and fortunately, no one was harmed. It was later revealed that the shooter was an intoxicated resident from the Khmelnytskyi region.

Updated: Later, it was revealed that the suspect is a 26-year-old man from the Khmelnytskyi region who arrived in the capital for work.
While in a state of intoxication, he fired several shots from a firearm in his hotel room, after which he was arrested by law enforcement.
The weapon was seized for forensic examination. The shooter was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and investigators are currently working with him. He faces up to seven years in prison.
