Tragic Morning in Marhanets: 9 Dead from Drone Strikes

A Russian drone strike in Marhanets led to a tragedy. 9 people were killed, and 30 were injured.

In Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, on the morning of April 23, nine people were killed and thirty injured as a result of drone strikes.

Direct quote from the region's leader: "The aggressor attacked with drones. According to preliminary information, 9 people have died, and 30 have been injured. We are continuously updating the information."

Updated: At 8:30, Lysak stated that the number of casualties had risen to nine.

"The enemy's attack has claimed 9 lives. My condolences to the families and loved ones. The number of injured is also increasing," said the OVA head.

He clarified that the aggressor targeted a bus carrying workers.

The State Emergency Service also reported that a Russian FPV drone hit the bus. The service published photos from the scene.

The images show a damaged bus and numerous casualties inside and around the vehicle.

Details: A fire broke out at an agricultural enterprise due to the attack, and two people were injured in the Synelnykove district.

"As a result of the drone attack in the Raivka community, two men aged 40 and 48 were injured – both will be treated on an outpatient basis. A fire occurred at the agricultural enterprise. Firefighters are working to extinguish the flames," Lysak reported.

He also mentioned that Russian FPV drones attacked the Nikopol district – targeting the district center, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries in these attacks.

"Our defenders shot down 4 enemy drones. The air raid alert is still ongoing. Stay safe," Lysak concluded.
