On the night of April 21 to 22, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the territories of Bilopillia and Vorozhba in the Sumy region.
Rescuers discovered a puppy trapped beneath the debris of a house.
A video of the dog rescue operation was published by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“While conducting reconnaissance in Bilopillia, rescuers suddenly heard whimpering coming from the rubble: a frightened puppy was trapped there,” the rescuers reported.
The emergency team spent several minutes clearing the debris to reach the animal. As soon as the puppy felt more free, it began to run around the ruins energetically.
During the rescue operation, the voice of the owner calling for her pet could be heard: “Elia! Elia!”.
The puppy was tied up, so the rescuers unhooked the carabiner from its collar, and the woman immediately embraced her beloved pet.
It is worth noting that four-legged friends often assist in saving lives. For instance, the State Emergency Service showcased how the rescue dog Naida helps rescuers in Cherkasy.
