Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared an «Easter ceasefire».

According to his statement, all military actions will be halted from 6:00 PM on April 19 until midnight on April 21.

The announcement about the «Easter ceasefire» has been made.

During this period, the President has commanded to «cease all military actions».

«I order to stop all military actions during this time. We expect that the Ukrainian side will follow our example», said Putin.

He further emphasized that Russian forces «must be ready to respond to any potential violations of the ceasefire and provocations».

As of 5:30 PM, the Ukrainian authorities had not commented on the Russian initiative.
