Ukrainians residing in Denmark held rallies to support their military personnel who are imprisoned. The protests took place on April 13 in Copenhagen and Aarhus, as reported by the Association of Ukrainians in Denmark (AUD).

These demonstrations were part of the international campaign “Voices of Captives,” which unites people worldwide in support of Ukrainian defenders in Russian captivity and families of the missing.

The events were organized by: in Copenhagen – the organizations “Heart in Action,” “Voices of Captives,” and “Ukrainian Dialogues,” and in Aarhus – the Aarhus branch of the Ukrainian organization “Lastivka” along with partners, AUD stated.

In Copenhagen, near the “Anchor of Memory” (Mindeankeret) memorial, participants spoke out for those who have been in captivity for three years, enduring isolation, uncertainty, and inhumane challenges.

A peaceful march took place in Aarhus, uniting participants around a common goal – to not remain silent, to support, and to remind. The streets were filled with voices of solidarity, posters, and flags, symbols of hope and resilience.

“This was a day of unity, remembrance, and support. Every presence matters. Every voice is a step towards freedom. Together we are strong. Together we do not forget,” AUD wrote.
