According to the case materials, the "mole" was attempting to identify weaknesses in the local air defense system. The enemy was particularly interested in the locations of bases and the movement routes of mobile fire groups protecting the airspace near the CHP plant.
The detained individual was reportedly surveying the area around the energy facility and capturing images of potential locations where Ukrainian defenders might be located to obtain coordinates.
Simultaneously, he was gathering information for the Russians about the consequences of previous attacks on the CHP and the results of restoration efforts.
The SBU agents timely uncovered the "mole," documented his crimes, and arrested him while he was spying in the technological rooms of the CHP.
According to the investigation, the suspect came under the FSB's radar due to anti-Ukrainian comments he made in Telegram channels.
During searches, a mobile phone containing evidence of his collaboration with the enemy was confiscated.
Based on the collected evidence, SBU investigators informed him of suspicion of treason. The perpetrator is currently in custody, facing a life sentence with asset confiscation.
